What's New

2008 Women's Return to Work Grants Program

The ACT Women’s Return to Work Grants Program is an ACT Government initiative, which provides women returning to the paid workforce with assistance in reaching this goal. The program is funded through the ACT Office for Women, of the ACT Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services and is administered by the Women’s Information and Referral Centre (WIRC).

 Upcoming Courses, Information sessions and Suport Groups 

Each school term WiRC conducts variety of Personal development courses ,including : Self esteem / Assertiveness, Stress Management, Anger Management, Assertiveness II, Effective Communication in the Work Place, Reclaiming your Life. WiRC also runs different Support Groups including: Domestic Violence Support Group and Support Group for Women Survivors of Sexual Abuse.  Information sessions are targeted to busy women and cover current issues affecting their lives , including Thinking Thursdays, Introduction to Computers and Internet and Moving on After Separation. For more information contact WiRC on (02) 6205 1075, (02) 6205 1076  or Email wirc .
